We are often asked about the difference between our two OPTIFIX bottle top dispensers for safe dosing of aggressive media: the OPTIFIX SAFETY and the OPTIFIX SAFETY S dispenser.

Both OPTIFIX SAFETY dispensers are made of materials such as borosilicate glass and PTFE, which are resistant against most aggressive media like sulphuric, nitric and hydrochloric acid.

Both OPTIFIX SAFETY dispensers have a PTFE sealing lip at the end of the dosing piston, which ensures an optimum seal.

The OPTIFIX SAFETY S is mainly used for smoking media, such as concentrated hydrochloric acid.

Thanks to the additional safety valve in the ventilation tube and a PTFE safety stopcock at the end of the discharge tube, aggressive vapours cannot escape from the dosing system.
